Gabby and Juan's Falls Church, Virginia Wedding

2020 is defiantly a memorable year for weddings. Getting married during a pandemic is certainly is not easy but it allows you to cherish every single moment of your celebration even more.

Gabby and Juan are two of my dear friends. Two weeks before the wedding they were helping me with some work in my house and asked me if I would be their photographer for their at-home wedding in Falls Church, Virginia. Their plans of a much larger wedding had fallen through and these two love birds were ready to tie the knot.

The day of the wedding, I walked in with my mask on, hand sanitizer in my pocket, and learned the many challenges of photographing during COVID-19. I had to learn how to deal with my glasses and camera viewfinder fogging up, and the even harder challenge of not being able to show my smiling expression in order to receive a smiling expression back from my subjects.

One thing is sure, the challenges of a pandemic don’t stop love. I have never seen Gabby so happy before. Gabby and Juan, I wish you the most happiness in your future together. Enjoy the photos!
