Mini Sessions and Family Portrait Sessions are the perfect way to document your family, your kids, and various milestones and announcements, but what session is best for you? What are the key differences?

    • A mini session is 20 minutes of photography time and includes 15 photos.

    • A family portrait session is 1 hour of photography time and includes 50+ photos.

    • A mini session is fast paced and goes by in no time at all.  Because of the 20 minute time limit, your photos will have a limited number of poses and less variety in scenery.

    • A family portrait session is a no-rush session. The one-hour time frame allows you to adjust and relax in front of the camera. If you have a shy little child, or even a shy family member, this time allows them to open up and show their personalities.

    • Having a full hour allows for more creative images, a variety of poses, and variety in the scenery.

    • Mini Sessions take place in Alexandria, VA at either Green Spring Gardens, Fort Ward Park, or Old Town Alexandria.

    • Family Portrait Sessions take place at a location of your choice.

    • Mini Sessions allow for one outfit only.

    • During a family portrait session, you will be able to have one outfit change (optional). You and your family can change after the first 30 minutes.
